Authentic Portuguese dining experience with rich local culture, history and cuisine. Top notch decor (rustic and comfortable) with a real wood burning fireplace. Fair prices and generous portions. Daily feature of mushrooms was delightful, and main meal of steak with onions and garlic oil was simply incredible. Lovely fresh bread and butter, and also we sampled flaming sausage (delicious!). Great for locals and tourists alike, server spoke perfect English. House made cherry liquor to finish off and wow what a treat. Cheers! Highly recommend :)

Very bad food for Portugal, small portions with low quality, a lot of fat, a place for tourists. The owner tries to hide this with a fancy setting as the place is beautiful and the presentation posh (cheap local wine refilled in a glass bottle and sold at 4 EUR the glass, stating 95% of the products are Portuguese, serving cheap porc meat as wild boar,...). First time I really left a Portuguese restaurant not satisfied.

Found this place by chance whilst travelling through Portugal on motorcycles and was delighted to have found it. It is a beautiful building filled with rustic charm. The restaurant is family operated and they offered us a warm welcome. We had a selection of starters including the flaming local sausage and mushrooms both of which were delicious. The five of us all had different mains and were all happy with our choices. The meats were cooked as ordered and the fish was very tasty. The wine list is actually a number of glass cabinets with a multitude of regional wines all individually priced and ready for perusal. We found a few reasonably priced reds which complimented our meal perfectly. All in all a very enjoyable...

Amazing Experience at Em Banho Maria

I had the pleasure of dining at Em Banho Maria, and it was an exceptional experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. A special shout-out to Nelson, who made my evening even more enjoyable. His constant smile and attentive service made me feel welcome, especially on a day when I was feeling stressed. Our conversation really helped me relax, and I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. The owner was also very warm and welcoming, which added to the great atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back soon! Thank you, Nelson, for making my...
