We had a delightful meal at Bel Mondo in Portimão. The service was friendly and prompt, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was very good overall, starting with a mixed salad that was beautifully dressed and flavorful. The cheesy garlic bread was delicious as well—crispy on the outside and wonderfully cheesy.
For mains, we tried the lasagna and the seafood pappardelle. The lasagna was a standout, arriving bubbling hot and perfectly cooked, while the seafood pappardelle was packed with flavor and featured a generous portion of fresh seafood. The presentation of each dish was thoughtfully done, enhancing the dining experience.
The only disappointment was the Bel Mondo Limonada. Despite its attractive presentation, it ended up being more style than substance, lacking flavor and feeling a bit gimmicky. On the other hand, the house white wine was pleasant and paired well with the meal.
Overall, Bel Mondo is a solid choice for a well-prepared Italian meal in Portimão, with friendly service and attention to detail. Just skip the limonada and stick...
Read morePortimão is filled with out of the way gems like Bel Mondo. With a little effort you can find some of the most authentic foods in fantastic spaces tucked away in neighborhoods around town. This is one you should seek out. The dining room is bright and cheerful, the service is friendly and efficient, and the food is very good too... I'd call it Italian with a Portuguese influence rather than an authentic Italian experience. With that said the menu is fantastic. Baked penne gratinato with tuna, mushrooms, and bacon which was just...
Read moreThis is not your average pizza restaurant - it is so much more. From the delicious starters- I had 2 instead of pizza - to the amazing pizzas which everyone else had - the food was incredible. Also the service is impeccable- very attentive but not over-bearing, warm, friendly and welcoming. The rosè wine which i had was lovely. And then there's dessert which I thoroughly recommend. As there were 4 of us we got one of the main ones each so we could all try and again they didn't disappoint. And then to finish - homemade limoncella (for the adults obviously). Also the decor is so pretty in the restaurant. 10/10 would absolutely...
