Wow! Parabéns to the Câmara of Portimão! This park which has undergone renovations (and apparently will be fully opened this Monday (4/8/2025) is so lovely. There are so many different well thought out spaces, plenty of trees and shade, and things for everyone to see and do. The coolest park I've seen in Portugal. Parque da Juventude is a lovely park in Portimão that is off the beaten path. It offers seating areas, a pond, BMX ramps, and a variety of wildlife to observe. Visitors can see chickens, peacocks, ducks, and turtles enjoying their surroundings. The park offers numerous areas to explore, along with green spaces where you can unwind or enjoy a picnic. Very large parcel of land for peace/tranquility. Shamefully used and kept. Total neglect, dirty water in the pond. Weeds growing everywhere. Benches unvarnished and dirty. This place could be turned into a heaven of beauty surrounded by a concrete jungle. The local council should be lined up and shot for abusing nature to this degree. Shameful!
