This was crazy. Please do NOT eat here. We ordered “cheese toast with french fries and some garden salad beside”. The waiter thought for a while but then said okay. In a minute he came back and ask if that's really what we want. We said yes. In next minute he brought us dry bread with fries and salad inside of it! We didn’t eat it, he said they will make it again. While we waited for the food again, he threw our first “sandwich” over the fence into the natural swimming pool beneath us.. When our second food arrived, toast with cheese was dry and fries was oily. Luckily, there is nothing you can do wrong about the salad. We didn’t finish everything, left one piece of toast and some fries. When he came to take it and to cash us, firstly he chaotically took the plates, napklins and other leftovers together and then suddenly took the toasts and right over my head he threw it into the pool….all the crumbs went all over me. I was completely in shock from all of this and still politely ask him if he just could not to throw it over me… he didn’t say anything. In the end he asked if we are going to go swimming…. And the price? For this BIZARRE experience and poor food 20 €! The waiter has obviously lower IQ and this restaurant...

Place looks pretty old and not very appealing to eye, but it's surrounded by rocks and has a pretty view over the sea lagoon. Fluent English-speaking male waiter told me about their fish of the day, which was 10€ for half and 20€ for the whole fish. He recommended to order one whole fish to share between two people, so I ordered it for my parents. I had a standard tuna pizza for 11€. Food was just fine. Nothing amazing but nothing horrible either, just a great standard for the money and location. Each of us had one drink (Poncha, large beer, strawberry juice). I ended up paying 60.50€ which I didn't think was much, but after leaving the place I realized I paid quite a lot for such a small "dinner" and left them with extra 5€ tip also. Not sure if they overcharged me or our 3 simple drinks were total of 29.50€. Either way I wouldn't come back anymore as it was pretty pricey and not so special. (Had a much better food for 3 people with bigger portions and perfect service in other places on...

After a wonderful dip in the waves at Black Beach in Seixal, we were hungry and wandered into Lounge Bar Club Naval do Seixal by chance.

We ordered the steak with French fries (complete with egg and salad) and a ‘small tuna dose’. Both were delicious, the meat and fish so fresh and tender. We also ordered our first taste of Bolo do Caco alongside, the delicious garlic bread of Madeira - the best garlic bread ever!

The team, I think it was family run, was wonderful, especially the young lad, who was happy to work with our pigeon Portugese and answer our questions.

We also loved the feline companions who rock up to the table when they smell fish, hoping for a scrap or two.

We would heartily recommend this wonderful place – as well as a dip in the natural pool nearby 😊

Lots of love and salty best...

I advise you not to eat at this place, drinks should be fine (at least from the bottles). Food is below edible. While we wait for our dish we had a good look how people left the table while there were still almost full picas left in their plates. That was a sign that something's not right. After a moment server grabed the plates and threw all the slices to the nearby open pool to feed the fish. Then our food came. It was submerged in oil, wet, disgusting, after that I got really sick, most likely food poisoning. So, don't believe the rating in Google, just read the latest reviews. Better go somewhere further to have a nice meal. P.S. our waiter was nice, however you come to have a decent meal not to chitchat pleasantly.

Great find! To be honest, this place was our "plan B" for the dinner, because the "plan A" one appeared to be closed. By the way, there goes a useful piece of advice for my fellow travelers: local eateries, especially small ones, often don't adhere to the advertised schedules, so have a plan B! Anyway, how lucky were we to find ourselves at a table with the view, eating much-nicer-than-expected meals and drinking freshly squeezed orange juice and lemon tea made with real lemon peels, no less. The local dog was very calm and friendly, the guy who served us spoke at least three languages fluently and did that with the style.

Great food! Great location! Great venue! My picado was juicy and came in a generous amount! Pictured below is the small size. My waiter was lovely and very attentive! He was so helpful. I asked to take what I didn’t finish away in a take away box and he sent me with extra sauces, salt and napkins. Above and beyond. The atmosphere was great, a lovely view and nice music playing. This venue has free wifi and free toilets (that were stocked with toilet paper and soap - bonus!!) Thank you for having me, you’ve been such a positive experience here in Madeira !
