A TRUE HIDDEN GEM! The place may look a bit quirky but the experience was absolutely incredible! You pick the fresh meat from the butcher/shop (we picked 2 skewers of beer) and then see it being seasoned with a generous amount of salt and it goes straight on to the grill to the cooking of your choice. We found the meat was perfectly cooked and the bread served with it was really soft and delicious. On top of that you have the view of the ocean. The staff where really nice and welcoming. Redicleusly affordable place for an amazing view and great experience!

You buy your food inside. You get your skew and side dishes. You bring outside and give the skew to the grill master and sit on a table. When it's done, the BBQ guy comes and give it to you. Simple as that. The food is fresh and really good prepared. Of course don't expect wagyu, but it is good. And the view, just amazing.

And the price? Not normal cheap. I had beef (half skew, that is more then enough for an adult male), salad, bread and a drink for €15,50. With the quality and locatie I was not surprised if it was at least the double...

This was the most authentic and delicious espanata/meal (probably spelled that wrong) that we had in Madeira. Swim all day and cruise by this humble butcher shop to buy your own skewers of beef along with house made loaves of bread and wine with no sulfites. Literally cook it yourself over an open flame in the back, could not have been more delicious and the sweet man behind the counter made my whole day!
