Vila Alencastre — Restaurant in Porto Santo

One of the best restaurants in Porto Santo! It was my first time in this restaurant and I have to say that I was surprisingly positively impressed!! The staff is super friendly, attentive and helpful. They welcome you with such warm that makes you feel at home! The food is absolutely delicious!! I had the salmon and shrimp espetada and my partner had the tuna espetada. Both phenomenal! The baked potatoes are to die for and the bolo do caco is out of this world! Sangria made to perfection and the chocolate dessert was a little piece of heaven! It was my first time in this restaurant but now, it is definitely a must go every time I go back to Porto Santo. Absolutely...

Mostly negative experience due to strange restrictions.

🚩Firstly we came in first half of day before 45 minutes until closing time and got refused to make an order. (without telling why).

🚩Than we came at evening and do not allowed to be serviced on outside tables (also without telling why). Later we saw other people were serviced on that tables, but for us it was rejected.

🚩We received a bit harsh serving by waitress, but maybe it’s just her style to communicate. Anyway that’s also ruined atmosphere of this place.

We came there with my guide dog and a previous reservation. The waiters were extremely unprofessional, not letting my guide dog for narcolepsy in. They told me they only allow guide dogs for blind people. I don’t get why you threat people with a sickness like that. After I placed my dog in the car (Why you don’t allow dogs anyway, it felt like 19th century) they tried to place us in a dark corner on benches, telling us that was the table I reserved. The restaurant was empty. Can not recommend this...
