Quinta Regional — Restaurant in Povoação

I’ve been to Quinta Regional twice now, and both visits were absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are some of the friendliest I’ve met on the Azores. They made us feel right at home and even thanked us in several different languages, which was such a thoughtful and charming touch.

The food is authentic, fresh, and delicious – you can really taste the quality of local products. Everything we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented.

Beware - the owner asks for 5 star google reviews with a free upgrade to your drink. If you want honest reviews, look at the 1 star ratings. Note the defensive tone by the owner in responding to unhappy reviewers. We witnessed this ourselves: We were in the queue when the upgrade in exchange for a 5 star google review was offered to the person in front of us. Very awkward for her and for us. This is not honest behaviour - and when she declined, he didn’t give her the upgrade. I wouldn’t be surprised if this review triggers a response. Also, really overpriced...

The best pina colada we’ve had! The location was lovely. We were visiting Furnas, and were craving a light snack and stumbled upon this shack.

The portion size is generous, and I love how virgin drink options are available. The drink literally filled us up.

The lady at the shack was also very nice and she did some small talk with us. I would definitely recommend their drinks...
