Restaurante Búzius — Restaurant in Praia da Vitória

Never in 34 years have I been so badly treated in a restaurant as I was in Búzius. After a decent meal, our group went to pay and we waited outside for everyone to pay, we even hanged around a bit outside of the restaurant after paying. 3 of the cars had already left when one of waitresses knocked violently on the window of the remaining car, startling the people who were inside and shouting loudly "someone didn't pay". It was so loud that everyone that was outside the restaurant and some people inside started looking to see what was happening. One of the occupants of the car said calmly "I am pretty sure everyone paid and has the receipts to prove it, I am going to call them all back", the waitress responded angrily with a "we shall see". A few minutes after, all 3 other cars returned to restaurant and everyone got out with their receipts in their hands. Another waitress came around, saw that we all had our receipts and tried to apologise for the situation. The first waitress that overly aggressive towards us never said sorry or showed an hint of regret for how she behaved. I won't talk about the quality of the food because even if it was really good, it's not worth being treated as a criminal. We have been staying in Porto Martins for three weeks. We had heard great things about this restaurant. When we first went over, they had just closed for vacation! We excitedly went over today, the day after they had opened, arrived at 6:10, they open at 6. The restaurant was vacant, except for two women eating at a table. We walked in with smiles and hungry stomachs. We were greeted by a most surly woman drying silverware, who asked if we had a reservation. We looked around at the empty restaurant, explained no, they had been closed, we have been looking forward to eating here and is it a problem? She just glared and said no. It was good, but seems a little overhyped to me. I think it being right on the ocean is a selling point. Best to make a reservation. Being from the U.S. (and east coast so majority restaurants are Italian-American) I wasn’t as impressed with the food maybe, bc I am so used to most of the things on the menu. But even so, the chicken parm pictured, were very good. Most of what I saw go by was standard pasta, pizza, chicken tenders, fries. It was hard to hear my tablemates bc it was so loud inside.
