Very good local restaurant that makes you feel at home. It took some time to get around the menu but we managed it with internet so all good! And diner was delicious, along with a great wine selection. Highly recommended it for any person coming to visit Monsaraz and its surroundings. Like others said, it's not a fancy place (reason for only 4 stars). It's a normal type of restaurant one finds in small locations in Portugal. But the food, traditional Alentejo type, is delicious and the service, singly handled by Mr. Joaquim of an inexcedebly sympathy, is excellent. We're treated as frequent customers the moment you step in. Great Portuguese small town traditional food and service. Perfect place for a beer before dinner time and then stay for dinner 😊 Pork cheeks were as good as the smell that got my imagination going!! My husband’s pork Alentejo was delicious too. The wine recommendation paired beautifully with our meal, can’t say enough how good everything was.
