The food was good and tasty but unfortunately my service's expirience was horrible. After finishing the warm dishes, we had to wait for almost 50min. to get the deserts. All of this after several attempts to request the deserts. The waiters were pointing the responsibility for the table to the next one in a round. I end up being very disappointed with them especially because I was there with my 2 kids (6 and 8 years old respectively), and this situation not only stressed us directly as it led my youngster to get injured - after waiting so long he was trying to climb a stage next to our table as distraction and ended up bleeding. In parallel with all of this, I noticed the waiters were giving way more attention to foreigners... probably looking for a better tip... on my view this is also unfair and very disgusting as they make distinction between costumers - sort of a...
Read moreThe restaurant that was a former olive mill is lovely. The ribs we had were nice but the potatoes might as well of been crisps, they could easily improve the dish. The service is not great as they need more staff as the one's they have need to run around like headless chickens to cope and it does not make the experience relaxing. They hardly have time to explain the Portuguese menu or recommend a nice bottle of wine. My wife had arranged a small birthday cake to be brought to our table for me but it was totally forgotten about and we left without it as our taxi had arrived. However the driver of the minibus that was full of boat equipment turned out to be the restaurant owner and he charged us €15 for a 2 km journey even though he was informed of our disappointing experience. Locals told us the journey should have...

Other than that, the service isn’t very good, the menus aren’t available in other languages, and the food isn’t good at all. The Toro (bull) meat was tough and bland even though the mashed potatoes that came with it were lovely; and the tomato soup was less tomato soup and more a tomato broth with badly cooked potatoes, cheese, and an egg in it ... it was also rather expensive for what it was. All in all I would only recommend going here to visit the building if you’re already in the area but probably wouldn’t advise...
