This is an ideal little cafe to visit if you are driving the north coast road into Furnas. They consistently make a good espresso with a nice crema, and a good galou (Azorean version of the latte). This place does all the baked goods and pastries in house, and they are worth the trip! My personal favorites include the coconut macaroons, which are very big, and the almond and cream filled croissant which is gigantic, but so delicious I prefer to eat it in halves and save the rest, verses share it-- want some, get your own! We found the chocolate croissants have an overly sweet chocolate baked in, but we can't complain as this is our own preference and Azoreans like a sweeter chocolate, so our desire for a less-sugary dark chocolate is an outlier here in the Azores. We've had soup here a few times, and it is one of the few places we've found that will give you food to take-away nearby for a picnic, but they seem to offer takeout meant to take home and eat as they don't have plastic spoons or single use condiments to provide -- bring your own! The soups we've had were thick broth without any chunks of vegetables or pasta, and so they were easily sipped from the small bowl we were given. We've tried cream of tomato and cream of leek, both of which had pureed vegetable to be thick, but were a bit bland-- if you want extra seasoning, be sure to add it before you leave.

The three times we've been here, the staff has always beef friendly and welcoming. Some have spoken more English than others, but every one did their best to serve us, ensure we got what we needed, teach us a word or two in Portuguese and leave us with a smile and a welcome to return-- which we intend to do whenever we are...

Upon our arrival at the empty terrace of the restaurant (there were probably only 2-3 tables), where we asked for several different drinks with a smile, saying that we will look at the menu and if something appeals to us, we will choose a meal. At that, the waiter very haughtily, arrogantly and arrogantly told us to go inside (from a half-empty terrace to an empty restaurant) when we only wanted drinks... He said it in style, without a decent explanation, without any decency. We thank the staff of this restaurant for making us so welcome on our first day in the Azores... Of...

On your way to or from the Miradouro's, you have to swing by this nice establishment to enjoy some delicious pastries, coffee, or a good selection of liqueur. The staff is very welcoming and makes you feel at home with a warm vibe. Sit inside and enjoy a futebol game of the flat-screen TV, or sit outside on one of the many tables to enjoy an amazing view of the town and coastline while you enjoy your beverage and snacks.

Great place to stop and popular with locals and tourists. Got to see a big tractor pull up. Salad was amazing and garlic bread was good but not best on island. Lots of variety on cakes one we had was ok and other not so good. Really glad we visited and lots of parking, good spot to go after tea plantation and 💯 better than food sold there.

Stopped in for much needed caffeine and sugar boost while on a solo motorcycle tour of the island. This place did a great job of providing both! Lots of parking right in front of the cafe. Cappucino and cake were delicious! Highly recommend!
