Gato Preto (Quinta das Acácias) — Restaurant in Rio Maior

I went here with a group of six people and the food was good. Our service was okay, but we had to keep asking for few things. This seems to happen in many restaurants and I can't understand why. It can't be that hard to bring drinks which most of the time seem to be non necessity thought for servers when people are dining. We do appreciate it when servers check in with us to see if there's anything we need and actually follow through with meeting those needs. So, aside from that, the food was good and the pricing was fair. I don't think we will go back as the area seats quite a few people and becomes very noisy. Good price! Good size food portion! Staff are attentive. We went early, before 7 pm for dinner. We opted for grilled quail and pork ribs. Both were nicely grilled and yummy. The quail came with a generous portion of fried potatoes and a bowl of salad. My camomile tea came in a pot. The sports channel was on and we watched the play between Benfica & FCb while we enjoyed our dinner....

Had the grelhada mista for 2 with a bottle of wine and 2 meia de leites. Rice was under cooked and meat was over cooked. You get lots of meat but very little rice. Wine was great and french fries were okay. The meia de leites was more milk than anything which made it so we were just drinking milk and sugar.
