Went there for dinner, had the tuna steak, beef espetada and garlic bread.
Tuna steak was good, pretty large portion including sides and rice. Cooked well. The server was very kind and super chill, he does come around to ask how you like your meat cooked (medium rare) and it was perfect. The garlic bread was also good, crunchy outside and soft in the middle, served hot.
It was pretty quiet when we got there as it was before closing, which was nice. Perfect place to go after Pico Ruivo, as it is on the way down.
Menu is pretty straightforward and short, which makes choosing easier. Would...
Read moreThe meat was tasty and cooked medium as ordered, however not evenly seasoned and probably made on too high fire, because it was quite burned from outside. To be honest much better quality meat and cooked to perfection was in another restaurant just around next corner A Fronteira. I highly recommend going there. Also bolo do caco was much better (more garlic, crispy, better butter), and even more interesting salad in A fronteira, it had avocado.

Read moreWe stopped here for dinner yesterday - the espetada was incredible. Really good, simple, Portugese food. Lots of reviews about pricing but we thought it was really fairly priced and they even gave us a drink on the house. The athmosphere was lovely, it's a family owned restaurant and they are all absolutely lovely and all laughing and joking with each other - such lovely people. They even offered to drive us home up the mountain after the rain started unexpectedly and they saw how woefully unprepared we were! Will definitely visit again!...
