We took a drive down through a construction site and somehow stumbled upon the greatest restaurant in Madeira, this food changed my life. The feijoada was absolutely to die for I literally had an out of body experience devouring that mix of deliciousness. The vibe was very unique with the sea right there and a really cool rusty atmosphere, nothing glamorous but very hip. Gustavo was an absolute legend and was happy to have a conversation with us and make us feel really welcome. The price was just right for the quality of the food which I believe was cooked by his mum in the kitchen and it had a real authentic home cooked feel to it which was amazing. This bistro is one place of a kind. The range of foods is really subject to your own imagination, because the chef will personality create lots of innovative dishes to please and make your visit a really memorable one. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. I found this place by chance and could not believe what I saw. The seascape is really unique and rich of contrasts, the abandoned shipyard, the out-of-service harbor, the picturesque pier with a lighthouse, the tallest bridge of the Madeiran highway network... All the elements seems to me like an noise argument between mankind and nature, but nature was victorious. A truly special place that makes me feel like I’m in an episode of “Coisas Mais Lindas.” Every evening on weekends after 9 PM, the atmosphere comes alive with a live bossa nova concert of exceptional quality – an authentic and vibrant musical experience.
