Great stop with a view! This restaurant is located right next to the main road and offers a beautiful view of the mountains. There are about 6–7 parking spots available. You can sit either inside or outside — the indoor seating is themed like a cave, which is quite unique, while the outdoor seating lets you enjoy the scenic views.

The service was very good — friendly and attentive. The food was overall just good, nothing extraordinary, but we really enjoyed the tomato soup, their sangria, the wide selection of beers, and the chicken with fries, which was tasty and reasonably priced.

In general, the prices are fair and quite average for Madeira. Would recommend...

Great place at a great location. I went for the T-bone steak as recommended by the waiter. Bit more expensive than the rest but not sure if worth the extra. Asked for a medium but the steak I received had bits of well done & and rare too. Now you might think this is a bad stuff but let me tell you it is not! I would not have had the courage to go for an all rare steak, but this way, I learned to appreciate the magic rareness brings to a steak (and also had the opportunity to contrast it with what the well done cooking takes away from it). Portions are also quite big and prices reasonable. The waiter was really friendly too and brought free...

This place was a recommendation on a bike touring website so we decided to give it a go. The lights were off in the restaurant (others were sat outside) but staff more than happy to turn them on and let us sit inside.

We went for the bolo do caco which ended up being the best we tasted on the island. Every restaurant we went to after this we ordered it and it was NEVER as good as their one.

For main we had steak which was also unbelievable. It basically melted in my mouth and I couldn't believe how much flavour it had. Again - best we had during our week in Madeira. Would definetely recommend this place to anyone...

We, a group of 4 people: - ordered 3 beers and got 4 - got 4 banana beers which were 8 euro each even though we wanted normal lager beers - ordered a sandwich and got a hamburger - got extra paid fries to hamburgers even though we didn't order them - ordered octopus and were given shrimps (later exchanged for octopus) - ordered sweet potatoes and got normal potatos It really seems like we were "punished" for coming in close to the kitchen's closing hour (even though we weren't informed about it beforehand) or this place is just scamming tourists.
