We loved this place! Beautiful setting and excellent food combined with friendly and personable service. Who could ask for more?!

We talked with the owner, Enio, and his wife at length about life on the island. Enio speaks excellent English and is happy to make recommendations about where to go during a visit to Madeira.

We loved the place so much that we returned for several meals, even stopping by for breakfast on our way to the airport to fly out on the last day.

Even if you're not staying on the northern side of the island, I would say that this place is worth a stop during a driving loop...

Don't believe all reviews before March 2025. To be honest I was doubting a bit when I was reading the reviews, but new owners took over and kept the name. This results into having very mixed reviews. However, the food was absolutely delicious. Really extraordinary. The service was great and the food was special, with interesting taste. The risotto and the tuna where lovely. Great little restaurant which we have enjoyed multiple times. The staff are very friendly and helpful and knew exactly what the options were within a gluten free diet.

The food and wine themselves were great as well, really tasty. The only point of improvement I would have is that they could do with some cozy lamps/lighting to bring a bit more atmosphere, but that isn't that big of a deal. Apart from that, I would recommend them...
