Restaurante Luís dos Leitões — Restaurant in Santarém

At first it was bad, but then, it got awesome. We called to make a reservation (7 people), but when we were there, we had to wait approx. 45min to go to the table, as the waiters had passed another family in front of us... When we seat, they told us the pork (main dish) was sold out... We got really frustrated, as we went there to eat that. We asked for other dishes, and after a while, the manager comes to the table and apologizes for what happened, and offered us for free some pork with full sides. We were happy for his knowledge of the mistake, and will to make customers happy. The food is great, and the price is totally fair, if not...

Very nice service, house wine and first dish was also ok. However the dish for which we went for or for which the restaurant is supposed to be famous for - the roasted piglet - was a big disappointment. First it was cold, not lukewarm, but really cold. I complained, the waiter apologized and took back to the kitchen. It did not help, it came back cold. My husband had pork loin which barely had meet and was not well cooked. Fiquei desiludido....Após ter visto muitos comentários e por já não comer Leitão a muito mas muito tempo um destes dias decidi ir experimentar mas foi uma desilusão a expectativa quê tinha o preço pela dose quê pedi vinha muito mal servida era mais ossos quê propriamente carne. As batatas e o arroz até estavam boas,o vinho da casa frizante achei o preço um pouco puxado o café 1€ cada também caro. Na minha opinião pessoal após ter visto varios comentários só tiro uma conclusão deve haver clientes de 1 classe clientes de 2 classe ou então tive mesmo muito azar nas partes quê vieram na minha dose. O único ponto possitivo e quê achei top foi o atendimento do senhor quê me atendeu o qual foi bastante atencioso,e simpático e profesional. Ao qual agradeço a atenção prestada. O qual terá convidado a vir experimentar uma segunda vez o estabelecimento...mas como é óbvio não devido a experiência quê tive concerteza não voltarei aquele...
