Excellent find. I wanted to take my family to eat some local Portuguese food, and found this place on google maps. We came in with a family of 5 during a slow Tuesday night and they were probably not excepting such a big group, so the service was accordingly a bit slow, however we were not disappointed. The couvert, served with some serrano ham and cheese and fresh olives with a splash of caviar was already promising and the main course, the cherne fish, beautifully placed and decorated. It came with a tasty salad and some cooked vegetables and we ate everything happily. The red wine I ordered was delicious, so was the white wine my mother had. For the dessert we had some Portuguese bola de bolacha and pudim, both very tasty, crowning the delicious meal. I would recommend this place especially for tourists visiting the region of Sesimbra, the drive is worth it! Thank you Carlos!

Very good meal, nice music and amazing waitering/chef. I had a seafood combo plate and now am in need of a nap. Thank you for delicious food and smiles, sorry for the cast of the little mermaid. Some seafood I did not know existed was especially tasty, however the lobster was grade A - I'd recommend, if you are very poor or on a diet, please refrain. I could hear "under the sea" whilst eating this meal and it made me satisfied 😌 furthermore, the wine was slamming! Thank you and looking forward the next visit!

Carlos is a great host, with a beautiful restaurant. He made sure we were comfortable with our one year old baby. We arrived a bit early for dinner, the chef was not in yet. So Carlos cooked the food himself. The Azzor de Marisco was full of flavor and delicious. We also had Bife do Lombo, it was really tender. Because of the pregnancy he grilled half of the beef longer for me. He delivered all this extra care with a smile. The food, the service, the ambiance is ten out of ten. We had a fantastic evening.

Avoid This Restaurant!

I recently had a disappointing experience at this restaurant that I feel the need to share. Upon arrival, we were served a "snack platter" without any prior notice, which would have costed us €15 but fortunately we spotted this and were able to send it back.

The menu was incredibly confusing, with most items priced by the kilogram. When we specifically requested something light for lunch, we received a pricey and big fish priced at an outrageous €66. Our total lunch bill came to €73, which was ridiculous for what we received.

To top it all off, the food was nothing special—more like basic home cooking rather than a memorable dining experience. I would definitely recommend avoiding this place if you're looking for good food and...

A shocking experience. We came to eat fish and stake. The first thing we noticed was the unclear prices and the very rude waitress. The fish was priced by weight, for 770g,( the fish was not weighed in front of us, the weight was found in the receipt ) we paid 54€, we asked for medium stake, we got a stake which was still bloody and completely tasteless, I would be interested to know if the meat was fresh? The tables are dirty, the starter bite was brought without even asking and they took 12,50€ for it. The final price was €101. Is it worth it? I think not, because the price/quality ratio was far from being the same. It ruined the mood and the lunch was unpalatable. For that price, I would have liked a little...
