We arrived here by accident. When asked for a breakfast at noon we were recommended lunch menu instead 🤣. Decided to go for one. To our surprise we were treated with a very delicious home made dish and soup. And maracuja desert. Dont ask me the names, but believe me it was delicious and fresh. We asked the waiter/barman who cooked all those and he told us it was his wife! Very nice, sweet person behind the counter! We felt like at home there!!! Thank you! Tucked away behind the main street in Algoz, is this lovely and friendly cafe. On weekday lunchtimes they do a Prato do Dia, a couple of choices....But boy, they are very tasty, homemade and filling. If it's just coffee, toastie or a delicious cake you're looking for....then you can have all of these here, and reasonably priced...Most importantly, you are served...

This coffee and cake shop also make festive, anniversary and party cakes to order.

I can highly, very highly recommend their cake baking skills. The cake they made for our wedding anniversary was truly amazing.
