Restaurante Bom Tempero — Restaurant in Silves

Important to note: this restaurant has been under new management since the beginning of february 2024. Every single review that was written before this counts for nothing! Here is my experience:

Well, as it was sunday....went out for lunch.....lets try the new people in the old place...what a welcome! New manager not interested in us...waitress came with a cigarette in hand...we said hello before she did…waiter arrived with menu….we asked if fish was 'do mar' (standard Portuguese phrase, meaning ´caught in sea, as opposed to farmed´)… He answerd: yes its from the sea...not frozen. Did not understand.....asked the manager. Who said ´yes its all from the sea´….Me: farmed or caught.?  Answer: no..just normal... He also told us how busy they have been the 4 days they had been open (was impressed).Well on this day, a sunday at 1.30 pm...just nobody there...but us...we left without tasting the food, may not...

Authentic Portuguese food at really reasonable prices. English and Portuguese spoken which is welcoming and family run. Parking is outside restaurant and easy to find. Would highly recommend for lunch or dinner. Food selection is good and quality is superb.. A must experience if your...
