Artesanato Bar — Restaurant in Sintra

You have to buy something to use the restroom, that is understandable because the owner does not want any "free riders" to use their restroom. But come on the restroom ticket only allowed one person per use. The owner should have told us about it but unfortunately she did not. I didn't know that at first so I used it and then I gave the ticket to my wife but it was not working. The owner said we have to buy something to get a new restroom ticket. Be aware folks, this is probably the only restroom at Cabo da Roca, so you will need to pee first before coming here, or hold it until you find a restroom...

Coffee was ok, toilets were clean (you have to buy something and get a ticket - the 50c toilets are in the tourist office building) staff were fine.

Lots of reviews here saying the staff are rude, but we've just visited pretty much as soon as they opened and you know what? I get it.

They have people trying to buy €3 items with €50 notes, yelling at them to let them in the toilets, pushing to be served and just generally being rude.... If I had to deal with that first thing in the morning, then all day (everyday) I'd get pretty fed up too.

Manners cost nothing. Learning a few basic Portuguese words...

Our visit was incredibly disappointing. In addition to rude service and inflated prices, the establishment was notably dirty. The staff at the bar/till displayed a shocking attitude problem, which seemed to target tourists specifically. This discriminatory behavior is especially ironic, given the location in a tourist attraction, where their primary clientele must surely be visitors like us.
