Really great seafood in a spectacular beach side setting. We were taken there by a tour guide and the staff are friendly and service is fast and efficient. They also advised us that we ordered too much food initially and said we should order more later if we were still hungry. I always find this to be a good sign that the restaurant cares about their customers.
We ordered a good fish soup which had lots of fish and vegs. The clams suzete with prawns which was excellent super large clams and prawns in a garlic and coriander sauce. Whole stuff crab was large and extremely fresh and the meat was sweet and juicy. A super fresh Portuguese salad.
The only poor dish was the octopus a lagarerio with veg and potatoes. The octopus seemed to have been over cooked on both stages of preparation. The large octopus tentacles had the texture of putty with no resistance at all, probably due to over boiling in the initial cooking. The secondary grilling of the tentacles has turned the ends into chewy plastic texture. Also skip the French fries as they seem to be packaged ones.
The room is comfortable and not too crowded. The toilets need some maintenance as the seats were loose.
Overall I really like this restaurant the quality of most of the dishes were excellent and the prices are reasonable too. I would have given them a 5 star if they managed to get all the dishes up to the same level.
Take a walk along the beach outside its beautiful although it...
Read moreI had an unforgettable lunch at Restaurante Praia da Adraga, and it was a true delight! This charming beachside restaurant offers not only spectacular views of the ocean and surrounding cliffs but also an authentic taste of Portuguese coastal cuisine. Sitting by the window with the waves in the background created the perfect, serene atmosphere for a leisurely meal.
The fish and seafood were incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared—from the delicate, flaky grilled fish to the succulent shellfish, every dish was a delicious celebration of the sea’s finest offerings. Each bite was full of rich, vibrant flavors that reflected the care and expertise of the kitchen.
The crowning moment of the meal was the dessert: strawberries with cream and meringue. It was a perfect balance of sweetness and texture—light, creamy, and utterly satisfying. A must-try!
The service was warm and attentive, with genuinely friendly staff who made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Their kindness and professionalism added to the already fantastic ambiance.

Read moreWe were recommended this restaurant by someone we know from the UK who visits often. This restaurant is placed on a beautiful unique beach and the interior of this restaurant has a very traditional Portuguese sort of feel. We ordered a Kg of tiger prawns which was a lot for 2 people but it was very delicious. We went for dinner and had some cocktails and shots too. The service there was really friendly and a waiter called Miguel tended to us towards the end of the night as our first waiter went home. As we could not find a way home, Miguel drove us to our hotel which words cannot express how much he saved us this day! The food and ambience was amazing but the service and kindness of restaurant staff is what we after also, so this place really has met all expectations. Thank you all for an amazing night and...
