On our last evening we spontaneously decided to pay a visit to the restaurant next door and we couldn’t be more positively surprised. As soon as we entered the door we were welcomed by Ricardo and let me tell you: this guy is waiter among waiter. All of us felt immensely well catered and welcome from the moment we entered the restaurant. What followed was one positive experience after another. Everything, from the service, his attention to detail, his swiftness, the quality and flavour of the house wine, the bread and the olives up to the main course was simply amazing. Only the roasted chicken was a bit dry for the taste of our friend. The flavour itself was on point though. The highlight of the evening, besides Ricardo himseld for being such a genuine, funny and authentic host, was the selection of desserts. My oh my, what a pleasure it was to try everything he brought us. It simply made us smile and giggle. Every single dessert was excellent judged by flavour, texture and presentation. What an unexpected and beautiful surprise. Too bad this was our only dinner, for we have to leave tomorrow. If you are in the neighbourhood or staying close by, you gotta come here. I doubt you will have a better dinner experience in the area for what you gonna pay. Thank you Ricardo and thank you to the owners. This place makes you instantly hooked and loyal as a guest. That comes from someone, that has been working in Hospitality for the last 7 years. Keep up the good work. We will tell our family and friends of the amazing dinner we had...
Read moreAbsolutely loved this place, even more that we ended up randomly there. The food was absolute delight, packed with flavour and almoast too generous in portion. The outside seating space is lovely, the house wine was good, the desert (sweet rice, tarta de sintra) really tasty. The meat was packed with flavour, we tried lagartinhos and plumas, and the potato they served with it was crunchy, with no extra oil. The spinach soup was tasy and I have to call out the bread, which was one of the beat i had, dense and with a feeling that took me back to my childhood. We loved the service! The young boy who served us was very atentive, humble and just a sweet person and made great suggestions for desert, calling out the delicious dishes made by the lady in the kitchen. We later found out that was his grandma, which made the who experience even lovelier. The venus is also.lovely, very cosy. I would cerainly return if ever in the area and highly suggest...
Algo a melhorar.
A voltar a visitar e...
