Pousadela Village — Restaurant in Vieira do Minho

We went today to try the lunch and see how the place looks like if we would stay here next time we are in Nothern Portugal. We liked how the place looks like and the view is stunning from the cabins.

However the service and food we got during the lunch was the worst I had had in a long time. We needed to wait 30 mins to get our food (there were nobody else in the restaurant), the food ingredients tasted like they were from supermarket cheese and ham packs and were missing some ingredients mentioned in the menu.

When we were finished eating, the staff had dissappeared somewhere. After 15 mins of waiting to pay the lunch and trying to find someone inside and outside the restaurant, we got fed up, calculated the sum we owned to the restaurant and left the money to the table. I really hope the money did not dissappear, too.

For the owner the price of our lunch got quite high, considering how much we would have spent if we would considered staying...

The staff was rude, intimidating and unprofessional. Also, the food quality is very bad for a mid-high level restaurant. Even in a low-budget restaurant, it's very rare to experience such badly cooked food. In particular, the Picanha, all its side dishes and the starters such as the shrimps "ao Alhinho", goat cheese with nuts and the fried mushrooms.

I had a couple meals at the restaurant/bar with my girlfriend while on vacation and every contact we had with the staff made us feel unwelcome.

The only reason for not giving a 1-star review is because the location and view are exceptional. But when you have such a bad experience with the staff, the experience...

The food is absolutely not worth the money. More value is placed on the look than on the taste. Absolutely tasteless food. The only vegetarian dish - just big zucchini, carrot, cabbage and tomato with oil and the noodles thrown together, no spices nothing…. The fish was still raw on one side and again without spiced - decorated with raw onion and boiled egg…
