Beautifully situated on the Sagres end of Martin Hal beach, the restaurant has generous beach view eating tables, and extra space out in the sun for drinks and light bites. The staff are friendly and helpful, and service is attentive. The drinks menu is comprehensive and contains good options for cocktails, after dinner options and delicious alcohol free drinks. The wine list is broken down by style and region, listing grape varieties too, so it helps when navigating! We had tiger prawn from the daily special, pesto penne and the vegetable tagine. All of which were delicious and freshly prepared. The tiger prawn was accompanied by boiled local potatoes and a chunky salad, too much to enjoy all on my own but went very well. The local gin from Sagres is an experience, worth a go for the gin lovers!

Simple, yet nice restaurant with fantastic beach feel. We had seabream and the fish was excellent. The cook came out and inquired how we liked it. Turned out he had some for lunch himself. I love it when the people put their money where their mouth is. Kids portions are generous too. We've been several times and the fish and seafood dishes never disappoint. And did I mention the extremely chill soundtrack? Jazzanova to Brubeck make the stay very relaxing. P.s.: Avoid burgers and spaghetti dishes.

Disappointing Birthday Meal – Great View, Poor Food We were excited to try this place for a birthday meal, but it turned out to be a big letdown. Ordered a ribeye steak for €30 and got what was clearly a chewy, gross rump—nowhere near what was promised. The fries were rock hard and massively overcooked. It’s a shame, because the ocean view is genuinely lovely. If I come again, I’ll eat somewhere else and just stop by for a bottle of water to enjoy the scenery. Value for money: 1/10

This used to be an amazing, laid-back beach restaurant called Nortada, which sadly closed a few months ago. The location is still fantastic, but the new place, Bahari, does not quite measure up yet. The fancy beach lounge makeover (not really a big plus in my opinion—sometimes less is more) has taken away some of the original charm. Its more posh beach club vibes may cater well to the Martinhal Resort crowd, which is understandable given the vicinity. That said, as this makeover is certainly not a plus for everyone, it’s not a dealbreaker either, and it does seem to have gained some popularity with locals as well, maybe for that reason.

The service is friendly, the food is good, and the prices are fair given the quality. However, when the restaurant gets busier (like over 50% capacity), plan a lot of time for your visit as service can become very very slow and a bit chaotic. For now, I’d recommend visiting during quieter times, and definitely book a table ahead,...
