Carme_ Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Vila do Bispo

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Charme in Sagres twice, and both times we were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and received outstanding service.

Service and Ambiance

The staff at Charme are exceptionally attentive and friendly. Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted with a smile and taken care of throughout your visit. The atmosphere is relaxed yet stylish, making it the perfect setting for an enjoyable evening.

The Food

The food was simply excellent. The menu offers a wide range of dishes, all prepared with fresh, local ingredients. Every bite was a delight, and the presentation of the dishes was equally impressive. We especially recommend the seafood dishes, which were superb.

The Cocktail Menu

A special highlight is the extensive cocktail menu. The bartender truly knows his craft and creates masterpieces in a glass. From classic cocktails to innovative creations, there's something for everyone. The cocktails were not only delicious but also visually stunning.

The worst place around!! Service awful and the food even worst! Not recommended!! I ordered beef, and they did not have, serve pork with the same price!

And now, I would like to clarify as well. To the answer of the owner. First of all, the SERVICE was awful, and yes the kids were playing just like any other kid. If you don’t like kids, is good to know. Second, we came from cycling so we have no choice but eating because we were hungry. Is the first place where the beef cost the same than pork. And finally, is not the price that I am complaining for is the manner that you have serving us. Don’t there are a lot of better places to go in Algarve. You won’t see us never again.

What an absolutely lovely restaurant. It was formally Terra. The former head chef took over the space and created Carme_. The food here is simply great. I tried several things including the sautéed mussels. They were cooked in a tomato broth. Get some bread for the broth. They were awesome. Next I had a house specialty, crunchy octopus. I wouldn't normally get octopus, but it's the house specialty. And it was amazing. I was full, but I got dessert. The lemon tart and basil ice cream. The tart was good but the basil ice cream might be the best ice cream l've ever had in my life. The drink list is great. I had a gin fizz and a glass of white wine. Everything was five-star.
