Pizza Pazza — Restaurant in Vila do Bispo

Went for a meal at Pizza Pazza today and absolutely hated my experience. The waiting service was quite unfriendly and the staff were arguing between themselves. After ordering the drinks, it took one hour and twenty minutes for us to get our main course. In the meantime, a German couple that arrived and ordered their meal a good 15 minutes after us not only got their meal earlier than us but also had eaten everything by the time we got our meal. Lamentablemente después de 13 años veraneando por la zona, no volveré gracias a una camarera que prestó un pésimo servicio. 4 adultos y 3 niños. Primero instó a que los niños pidieran las bebidas en portugués, y ante la pregunta de si podían hacer media pizza de un tipo y otra de otro, contestó sin preguntar a cocina que no, que tenían mucho trabajo (había mesas vacías y al llegar incluso había otra camarera sentada en la entrada a la pizzería). Luego tiró una bandeja con bebidas al ir a bajar la escalera, ya que estábamos en la planta de arriba. Una niña pequeña se asustó y se puso a llorar y lejos de disculparse se enfadó aún más, antes el asombro general de todos los que cenábamos en la planta de arriba. Durante toda la cena no volvió a nuestra mesa a ver si necesitábamos algo. Al ir a pagar y preguntar si se podía pagar con tarjeta, se cabreó más indicando que el lugar está lleno de carteles de sólo efectivo. Así que la cuenta de 74,50 € la pagué con 75€, que casualmente llevaba en la cartera. Me miró con mala cara sin saber siquiera si podía dejarle propina o no, dando por hecho que no iba a dejarla, y despectivamente me dijo "ahora vuelvo con tus 50 céntimos", y al darse la vuelta le dijo a otro camarero que "iba a por los 50 céntimos de los españoles". Sinceramente personal así desmerece a otros restaurantes de la zona. Siempre vamos a Carrapateira en verano y comemos en Alecrim, Microbar, Sitio do Forno, otros restaurantes de Lagos, Sagres, Aljezur etc... y siempre dejamos propina porque la atención es exquisita en algunos, amable en otros y familiar en la mayoría de los sitios. No pretendo camareros amigos, pero al menos trato digno y con respeto. Cuando volvió la camarera le dije que se quedará con los 50 céntimos, dijo que no y los dejó en la mesa en mi cara, y se fue. Tristemente hay mucha gente que quiere trabajar para que otra que no quiere estropee la experiencia de cenar en un sitio, que hasta ayer, siempre había recomendado a todo el mundo....

The location is the most impressive feature, a pleasant remote and isolated small traditional village, refurbished for local tourism. Nice views during the sunny summer days, beautiful sunset gradients between the hills, and scenic night sky during clear nights without the light pollution from big cities.
