We had a bad experience due to really disgusting behavior by a customer who seems to be overly friendly with the owners and behaves like he owns the place. When we came in the dog of the two men came up to us and we were cordial and everything was fine. For some reason he was telling his dog to come to us, but we just ignored them. Then later he walks by our table, and without saying anything, he just steps on my dog with his dirty boot and just stands over here stepping on her. I look at him and ask him what he is doing, and he says to not worry that dogs like it. I then told him to please put his foot off my dog, in a way that was honestly way too polite for such disgusting and disrespectful behavior. He then got angry at ME for telling him not to. He then made a scene being overly nice to other people eating there and giving them food from his plate loudly saying “… because YOU deserve it, not like this young generation” pointing at us and speaking very loud about us. Who just steps on other people’s dogs?? What a disgusting person.

And I find it disgusting that the owners allow their buddies to treat their customers this way when they are just trying to enjoy a peaceful lunch. Nice company you keep. As soon as we walked in my gf wrote a note on her phone telling me she knows men like this at the bar she works and all they do is harass any women who enter, and she was right that it was just a matter of time before they did no matter what we did. I wouldn’t normally blame an owner for something like this, but they made it clear they were buddies, and we all got the impression right away that they always act like this. We didn’t give you our business to be disrespected like this, we will not be back and we hope nobody does.

And again - who steps on people’s dogs like this and expect a positive reaction?? Unbelievable. Don’t step on people’s dogs for...

My husband and I had an EXCELLENT lunch here on the terrace. Eurico was very friendly and helpful - which enhanced our experience. He recommended the codfish in bread (Bacalhau no Pão) as the specialty. We ordered the 2 pax version for 27€ and only managed to finish 2/3rds despite my husband being a reasonably big eater - it was THAT big! Eurico kindly packed the remainder so we could have it for dinner. He recommended the carob tart with lime & basil ice cream (5€) and it was delicious. I enjoyed a prawn and rice dish, which was delicious. However there was a mix up with the chicken dishes and we were told the long wait for the rest was because the chicken needed to be defrosted. The chef came out to apologise, which was really nice of him and provided free goats cheese to keep us going (extra points!), however we didn’t find the chicken to be tasty after this which was a shame. Overall, I’d like to retry this restaurant (who have super kind and friendly staff) and have our group try different...

Un petit restaurant sans prétention dans un hameau perdu de la campagne Algarve. Réservation faite par e-mail avec réponse de validation très rapide. Lieu Vraiment atypique, la campagne, des gîtes et quelques vacanciers, bien accueilli déjà par le chef de cuisine et quelques mots de français. Nous sommes les premiers mais je vois quasiment toutes les tables avec un panneau « réservé », je vous conseille donc de le faire. Une bière sirotée le temps de choisir le menu ; on teste un plat qu’on partage en deux avec ma conjointe, le fameux « bacalhau no Pão », comprenez un genre de pain fourré à la morue avec plantes aromatiques, courgettes etc… la spécialité maison, magnifique et super bon. Et en plat principal on prend le plat du Week-end (qui change donc tous les week-ends) ; une cassolette à partager dont j’ai oublié le nom, mais pas le goût, du porc tendre comme jamais je n’ai mangé, mélangé avec des palourdes le tout relevé avec des herbes et autres. Quelques patates frites pour accompagner. C’était magnifique ! Les desserts fait maison pour accompagner tout ceci. Je mets les photos de cartes, en portugais et anglais. Nous n’hésiterons pas à revenir, même pour dormir vu que le village fait aussi chambre et maison à louer. Merci !!!!

Già in fase di ordinazione dei piatti, ad ogni nostra scelta sui piatti di pesce, il cameriere ci comunicava che il piatto era terminato tra cui anche il loro piatto forte cioè il "bacalhau do pan" (erano solo le 21.30). Abbiamo forzatamente dovuto scegliere piatti di carne. Quando ci hanno portato le due tagliate di carne al primo assaggio abbiamo subito notato che era un taglio di carne totalmente pieno di grasso e nervatura, assolutamente immangiabile anche perché emanava un cattivo odore. Anche l'hamburger sembrava arrostito senza alcun sapore. Quando ci siamo lamentati con il cameriere dicendo che la qualità della carne non era buona, lui è andato dallo chef, il quale gli ha detto di dire che il taglio della carne era il top "premium" e che cosa pretendevamo di più !! Forse non sanno cosa è la razza Fassone o Chianina in Italia Abbiamo così deciso, vista l'arroganza e la poca attenzione verso il cliente, di pagare ed uscire dal ristorante. Assolutamente una esperienza negativa, il ristorante non lo consiglio!!
