Restaurante Pucinho — Restaurant in Vila do Conde

You have to fight for your right to eat here! Literally. We arrived at the end of the lunch hour, when several tables were already empty. We chose to sit inside and sat by an empty table. It took 10 minutes for a waiter to clean the table. We waited another 15 minutes for someone to bring the menu, and since nobody brought it, my wife stole one menu was lying on another empty table. We waited for someone to come take our order. No one came. There were two waiters running from the kitchen to the terrace. Another one just at the bar, endlessly typing at the registry. We saw another table yelling to the kitchen, because no one brought the food they had ordered one hour ago. We yelled at a waitress that my wife was pregnant and almost collapsing, and she took our order out of pity. We ordered wine, water, three starters and the main dish. The water and a starter came immediately. We saw another family of 6 persons waiting for someone to lead them to one of the many empty tables, but gave up and left after 15 minutes of being ignored by everyone. Nothing else arrived at our table. We finished the starter, the bread, and our kid started crying of hunger. We started yelling to a woman who came out of the kitchen. She said she worked at the kitchen and all the table waiters were incompetent. But she ended up telling us the other starters we had ordered had finished, and brought us more bread and a second supply of the same starter (that we had to pay, of course). She also told us that the guy behind the counter disagreed of the wine we requested. He came to our table and chatted a bit, suggesting another (weaker wine) and blaming the delay in the first waitress. We saw 8 people in another table leaving in despair, after waiting for someone to take their order, taking a small kid also crying of hunger. After two literal hours, we finally received the food. The food was good, the staff was friendly, but, dear lord, this was some next-level incompetence and disorganization. At one point we started wondering if this was some Candid...

Weszliśmy, nikt nie zwrócił na nas uwagi, mimo iż restauracja była tylko w połowie pełna. W środku było mnóstwo niesprzątniętych stolików, po kilku chwilach zapytaliśmy więc kelnerki, czy możemy gdzieś usiąść. Ta powiedziała, żebyśmy zajęli którykolwiek z pustych, brudnych stolików.

Usiedliśmy więc, by przez kolejne 20 minut czekać. Podniosłam się w końcu i poszukałam kogoś z obsługi, bo chcieliśmy zobaczyć menu. Nie do końca zadowolony pan, domyślam się, że właściciel, podszedł do nas i zaczął sprzątać stolik, karcąc nas, iż nie powinniśmy byli usiąść przy niesprzątniętym stoliku! Gdy powiedzieliśmy, że to jego koleżanka nas o to poprosiła, zaczął na nią narzekać.

Reszta posiłku była jak z filmu: walka o manu, którego nikt nam nie przyniósł, walka o przystawki, które znikały z lodówki (mieliśmy upatrzoną jedną przystawkę, niestety nikt nie podchodził, aby odebrać od naz zamówienie, a ta w międzyczasie zniknęła...), kelnerka, która zapomniała, że zamówilliśmy danie główne... Do tego inni niezadowoleni klienci, którzy zaczynali również się niecierpliwić i wymieniać komentarze pomiędzy stolikami.

Dodam, że w międzyczasie restaurację opuściły 2 rodziny: jedna, która usiadła przy stoliku i dostała menu, ale nikt nie wziął od nich zamówienia, wyszła po ok. 25 minutach czekania, druga nigdy nie została usadzona, mimo pustych stolików, więc również wyszła.

Jeśli liczyć, że nasz posiłek wyniósł nas 25 euro za osobę, to właściciel stracił tutaj 25 euro x 10 osób, które opuściły knajpę bez zjedzenia, razem minimum 250 euro. Czy nie taniej byłoby zatrudnić dodatkowego pracownika lub wyszkolić kelnera?

Pozdrawiamy panią z kuchni, która - biedaczyna! - za każdym razem, kiedy wynosiła jakieś danie musiała liczyć sie z pytaniami i narzekaniami zniecierpliwionych klientów.

Weszliśmy tu o 14:00, a danie główne dostaliśmy o 16:00. Nie było ono złe, ale umówmy się, raczej niewarte takiego...

In late August, I went with my wife to this restaurant for an evening meal. We had a very bad experience. After waiting 40 min (seriously!) for service, we simply decided to leave.... we went inside 2 times to ask for service.
