Sushi Yami - Restaurante Japonês — Restaurant in Vila Franca de Xira

Okay let me say from the beginning that I am not dissatisfied with the place. It has a very nice outside aesthetic and the entrance looks quite lovely as well, especially the bar. The price is really affordable and not too steep. Basically it fits the quality of the food nicely.

They have a very big selection of different dishes and sushis. It features a lot of traditional pieces of sushi and also adds some of its own creations. Most of the sushi was fine but nothing out of the ordanary. The only thing I did not like was honestly the salmon because it had quite a funny taste to it. The dessert is also included in the buffet / all you can eat so you can reay get a solid five course meal if you want. Overall it is a very pleasent experience to dine there, especially since the staff is very friendly and kind.

My overall verdict: You get what you pay for. You will not find 5 star grade sushi here but if you look for an affordable place to eat a lot of different kinds of sushi this is the place for you. I recommend the place becausd honestly there was nothing to complain about and the sushi tasted good.

Went there to lunch on a week day, Monday to be more precise. Honestly, had the pre conceived idea, that, the quality of the sushi would not be anything worth the price. Oh boy was I wrong. The only thing I noticed as a flaw is that, if you are like me, with a group of friends, where everyone is asking for themselves, they bring the food slowly and separately, and not all together, which left us waiting for everyone's food to arrive. This place was OK. Fast service but they sometimes forget to bring a few things that you order. Staff is not very attentive, they don't ask if you want any wasabi or if you are satisfied with your food. Had to wait quite a bit to catch the eye of the waiters to bring something or pay.
