Casa Lau — Restaurant in Vila Nova de Cerveira

Travelled down from Vigo to Portugal with my girlfriends family. We were looking to go for lunch and decided to try here as her uncle who lives in Vigo heard it was good. Tbh the food was just ok but the service was terrible and the waiter very rude. To start with we were handed 1 menu between 7 of us and took ages before the order was taken. After our meal we ordered another couple of beers and 1 of course mine didn't arrive. We asked for the bill and waited over 20 minutes before asking again to be told by the waiter "it's getting sorted, what are you in a hurry or something? People have to wait half hour, sometimes an hour for there bill" not the way to speak to paying customers with that attitude. They must think they're special cause they've got a good reputation. Em relação a este restaurante posso dizer que os principais sentimentos foram desilusão e arrependimento por ter parado aqui. A nível de aspecto é muito limpo e organizado, tem um senhor ( penso ser o gerente) extremamente simpático contudo a nível de comida e atendimento do empregado de mesa foi o mais baixo possível. Em primeiro lugar, deixou a simpatia a porta do restaurante e quanto a dar uma recomendação, nunca lhe devem ter dito como o fazer. Éramos duas pessoas, questionamos se meia dose do naco de carne (especialidade da casa ) seria o aconselhável, ao qual prontamente disse que sim. O que acontece é que efectivamente veio um pequeno naco de carne, 4 pequenas batatas e um pouco de esparregado. Tendo em conta que éramos duas pessoas, essa não seria a dose mais indicada pois certamente que esse senhor não deve comer duas minúsculas batatas ao almoço ou ao jantar. Tivemos que pedir um pouco de arroz a parte. E resumindo, pagamos mais de 30€, para sair do restaurante SEM a sensação de "ainda bem que aqui parei" UMA...

It was too expensive for the picked dishes we got, it was around 35€ to 40€ per person, without having any dessert. Even the desserts were too expensive, 7€ each.
