Restaurante Telheiro — Restaurant in Vila Nova de Gaia

It was our first visit and unfortunately the experience was not so good. Probably, it was our fault. We should order prato do dia for fast service. In fact, we ordered grilled Polvo and we waited for almost 1 hour for the food to get served.

If you order a menu besides the prato do dia, please ask the lady how long it will take for cooking. Gladly, we just came without our son. The location is not so central in Vila Nova de Gaia. We found it by random Sunday afternoon. They serve Portuguese traditional food. They offer dine-in and take away. The lady is friendly and nice. The parking is a bit difficult to find. The price is average. Our polvo is just ok. The taste is nothing special, but we liked it.

Comida não correspondeu á minha expectativa. Apresentação não muito esmerada e ambiente assim assim. Mas note-se que quanto ao ambiente, seja na generalidade este, quanto á comida há dias bem melhores. Também é certo que quanto ao preço a pagar(prato do dia), não se pode exigir muito mais. Nota-se uma certa melhoria na qualidade da comida e na simpatia do pessoal. Apesar da ausência da dona há já alguns dias por suposta ida a Cabo Verde, não se nota alteração significativa no restaurante. Nada a acrescentar no que já aqui foi dito na generalidade do restaurante, a não ser o regresso da dona, que veio prestar um pouco mais de simpatia ao ambiente. De dagschotel was een tegenvaller. Gezien de prijs mag daarover niet worden geklaagd. De bediening is adequaat. De sfeer is matig, omdat ik aan het begin van de avond was. Hier kun je voor weinig eten.
