Vintage Beach Sushi — Restaurant in Vila Nova de Gaia

Worst customer service ever and never coming back! We reserved a table outside, came on the scheduled time. When we arrived the owner (who is super rude to her customers) said that unless we wanted to be set directly on the sun with no parasol she wouldn't receive us. We asked for an under the parasol table on the phone and she even said that we didn't need to make a reservation. Nevertheless She has put other people in all the tables available. We were regular customers coming every week since the last month. She was always rude in her ways, her only salvation was the spot, the food (its good for the price) and the waiters. We are never coming back. Never in our lives we were treated this way. She probably doesn't want us as customers. In a middle of a crisis, pandemic and recession she must be very privileged to refuse customers like that. I would recommend other amazing sushi places in Porto like Subenshi or Kanpai. Just don't go and put your money where you're not respected or...

I almost every week used to go to this restaurant, the last time we made a book with the fork which had discount for only one person, we understood that we’d have to order separate menus, which the owner told me over the phone and I agreed to. Discount or not i use to go a lot sometimes over 2 times in a week, I was set in a table on the outside the furthest away from the entry possible still I heard the owner ask the waiter if we had ordered separately, which we did. Fact of the matter is this sushi place is overpriced for the quality of the sushi it serves its only worth it if it has the discount , otherwise you can go to enoteca which is a bit more expensive, but the sushi pieces are grand and much more fulfilling. I brought many people to this restaurant, and now I will do the opposite, I do t recommend it’s an ok sushi that is overpriced, and the owner is out of touch with its clients. Plus now it’s always way too loud , scrappy table and decor that...

After 4 months confinement you would have thought that the restaurant would be ready to welcome their clients in a nice, clean and with no refurbishing on going ! Inside the floor was not done, the toilets...with NO DOORS - my wife went to the restroom all was open...seriously ?! The food was ok but had nothing exceptional and a bit expensive for the quantity...but overall the servicing was appalling! The waitress was ignoring us, then rude, throwing the dish on the table. I believe the people who are putting positive reviews are friends because honestly I will never ever recommend such a place. I'd rather pay more and have a good time instead of being treated as such ! Absolutely no respect with clients and I see I am not the 1st one leaving the same kind of review.
