Ordering was a little tricky at first when presented with a menu not in English, but the waiter was more than happy to point us in the right direction. We had some delicious Portuguese dishes such as the crispy cod fish cakes on rice, the beef and potato casserole, and some surprisingly tasty braised cabbage on the side. However the real star of the show was their famous wafer cake. Despite being so full we had to make room for this sweet creamy layered dessert and happily rolled ourselves home afterwards.

This evening, I've already been served very well and had one of the best ever "bacalhau a nascente", along with a bottle of Monção vinho verde. Followed by a dessert of an absolutely delicious pera bebida "com canela."

It's a Sunday night, the place is 1/4 full with families, etc.

The restaurant is spotless, with simple timeless decor. It has about 20 tables inside.

Boa tarde, lamentável o que nos aconteceu hoje nesse restaurante, só tenho pena de não ter pedido o livro de reclamações, realmente a minha esposa não foi muito precisa, entramos às 12.35 e saimos às 13.55,sem nos terem serviço, quanto a informação da empregada, apenas disse depois de confrontada ao fim de 1 hora que já não demorava muito, frequento todos os anos restaurantes na zona e nunca vi tão mau serviço, até podia ter acontecido um engano e podiam justificar, não é ignorar os clientes, houve nitidamente um engano com o pedido, chegaram clientes depois que comeram o prato de bacalhau e saíram e nós à espera.
