Restaurante Quinta da Cavada — Restaurant in Vouzela

We came here after the thermal spa only 10 mins away and omg the food was so amazing! 🤩 we had the Portuguese black pudding for starter so crispy and flavorful and not too salty just perfect, and then we had the chef recommendation of mushroom 🍄 rice with rooster 🐓 and it was so delicious. The sauce was delicate enough for the taste of the mushrooms to come through, meanwhile soaking up the juices of the chicken. And they have some picnic tables with amazing view which can be wheelchair friendly! With a great view! :) I think this was one of the best meals I’ve had in Portugal in my 4 years living here....

No domingo, 15 de outubro, fomos até lá. Estava cheio. Perguntámos ao chefe de sala/ proprietário se tinha mesa para duas pessoas e disse-nos que só dentro de 40m. Afastámo-nos para o hall para não prejudicar o serviço e aproveitei para ir lavar as mãos. Nem 5m passaram quando nos apercebemos que o senhor decidiu sentar o casal que tinha chegado a seguir a nós (que também não tinha reserva). Como fizemos questão de lhe dizer: cada um gere a sua casa como quer. A cara que fez disse tudo. Em quatro oportunidades que tive de almoçar/ jantar no espaço, confesso que apenas numa achei a refeição mesmo boa. E em todas as ocasiões o restaurante estava vazio. O que me leva a pensar que deveríamos tratar melhor quem nos visita fora dos 'dias fáceis'. Mas é só uma mera opinião. No fim, bem feitas as contas ( e não é só de números que estamos a falar), nós é que ficámos a ganhar com uma bela vitela de Manhouce, nas Termas de São...
