I’ve always been a fan of Afghan Brothers, especially the Old Airport branch, which consistently delivers great service and quality food. However, I’m deeply disappointed with my recent experience at the Al Mandi branch near Al Ahli Hospital in Bin Omran.
After a long day of fasting, I visited this branch hoping for a simple and comforting meal. I ordered chicken saloona with soup, as I wasn’t planning to eat much. Unfortunately, the service was far from what I expected. The server didn’t acknowledge me with even a smile and proceeded to serve another table that arrived later with complimentary soup and salad—something I was denied. When I asked, he simply said they don’t serve it with saloona, without making any effort to offer an alternative or explanation.
To make matters worse, the bread I received was cold and seemed old—possibly even taken from another table. The soup was also cold, unlike the warm, freshly served soup I’ve enjoyed at other branches. I reported the issue to the cashier, who appeared to be a supervisor, but he spoke in a language I didn’t understand and ultimately ignored my concern.
This was truly a disappointing and disheartening experience—especially as a loyal customer who has always appreciated the service and quality at other locations. I hope this branch takes the feedback seriously and works on improving both service and food quality.
To fellow customers: if you’re planning to make a small order or are on a limited budget, I wouldn’t recommend this branch. Sadly, it doesn't reflect the high standards of the Afghan Brothers brand that I’ve come to know...
Read moreI absolutely recommend this place for lunch. The atmosphere is amazing. Went and ate in a room covered in carpets and cushion (the cushions are very comfortable). The room is also praying friendly which I was amazed by. The food serving is more than reasonable in comparison to the amount you pay. The food is very flavorful and authentic. The staff are very accommodating and friendly, They checked if we were alright from time to time to ensure that everything was satisfactory. I am definetely coming here again with different colleagues!

Read moreAfghan Brothers Restaurant in Doha is a true gem for lovers of authentic Afghan cuisine! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality that makes you feel right at home.
The food is exceptional — the rice is perfectly cooked, fluffy, and fragrant, and the meat is tender and full of rich flavors. Each dish reflects the authenticity and care that goes into Afghan cooking. The bread, while delicious, could be a bit closer to the traditional Afghan style to elevate the experience further. Adding homemade Ayran to the menu would be the cherry on top!
Despite these minor points, the service is impeccable, and the food quality is outstanding. All of this comes at a very reasonable price, making it a fantastic dining experience.
Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Afghan flavors in Doha. I’ll definitely be...
