I want to give a massive thank you to the amazing team at Riva Restaurant in Banana Island, Doha. From start to finish, the service was exceptional. A special shoutout to Shakil and Angela (from the Philippines) who went above and beyond to make my first visit to Qatar truly memorable.

Angela in particular showed incredible kindness—my phone was down to 1% and I needed to get back to my hotel to book an Uber. She noticed my situation, offered to help, and kindly charged my phone for me. It may sound small, but in that moment it meant the world to me, and I was so grateful.

To top it all off, the chef personally came out to speak with us, which I did not expect and it was such a pleasant surprise. That personal touch made the whole experience even more special.

Ishara and Anggun were the first restaurant staff we met when we arrived on the island. We had been delayed at the airport, so our arrival was super late, nearing closing time! However, Ishara and Anggun went out of their way to make sure we were tended to with patience and grace. They made all the right recommendations to us over tired travellers! We knew we had landed on the right island when they fed us like we were family! During our stay, we went back for a second dinner at Riva and ordered the steak, and the caesar salad on repeat!! Staff aren't ready to even explain anything freely. You are on banana island and have lot of opportunity to show the best side keeping in mind there is no big rush

No explanation no ethics . Poor staff. Definitely needs improvement here

Pasta_ Alfredo sauce was below average No taste overall bland

We chose Riva over the other cuisine and was not mind blown to be honest. The staff could have and should have elevated the moment and should have given a good culinary experience.. it's just not throw the plate and eat whatever...
