Wellon Restaurant ‘HERITAGE’Salwa Road — Restaurant in Doha

Bad experience. Very rude cashier and arguing! I had a bad experience with the cashier at this restaurant this morning. I sometimes have breakfast at this restaurant. This morning, as usual, I was crossing the restaurant; suddenly my kid asked for water due to a cough. I immediately went inside and asked the cashier for a bottle of water to pay 10 riyals. He was speaking over the phone for a long time, as he didn't notice. He continued the phone conversation without answering to me, I thought he was taken food order throgh phone call , so I waited then I called him again. I urgently need a water bottle. He told me that he had no change for ten riyals. Again, he continues the phone call. I ask again, give me a water bottle, and if you don't have balance give me snacks or something else. The cashier returns my ten riyals. At that moment, there were other customers around and they witnessed the whole event. As a concerned person this restaurant if you want to see the event please watch the cctv footage from 7am to 7.10am. Wellon reception cashier no respect customer. Please advise the staff. I have never had such a poor experience....

String Hoppers Kottu, 1st time tried brown string Hoppers Kottu due to unavailability of white string Hoppers - it was nice for sure.

Draw backs or areas to improve

The dining table mat smells horrible and is not suitable for the food atmosphere. The smell last for 10 min

We ordered a mix kottu but due to miscommunication between Stewart and the kitchen, they provided chicken kottu, however it was good in taste.

Hoppers get colder soon, because stand AC is next to hoppers counter

Some improvement required in the washroom.

Wanted to try this place since long, finally got chance to have dinner from this Sri Lankan restaurant. The menu is not that filled with wide varieties, but whatever they had is wonderful. We tired their buffet which had a decent spread. The food and curries are spicy and spice lovers would definitely love them 😊... Try their verity Kothu.. You will live them.. Yes i would recommend this place for a feel of Sri Lankan food... By the way we went there Thursday dinner time and there was live performance who was singing famous Sri Lankan songs..
