Gastronomika Food Station 23 — Restaurant in Bucharest

This one was a disappointment. I had booked a large table by e-mail and it was not available when we got there, so we had some conversations and moving tables to do. They did not even check, they told me to go to the large table where tother people were sitting and then said that it must be because I booked too early. We then got 3 menus for 7 people which are with printed pages, with visible bending, so really amateur. The prices were not amateur, most dishes where over 30 with some seafood reaching 60 as far as I remember. We took different dishes, the shakshuka and some of the pasta were appreciated, the plescavita and the octopus not so much. The potatoes were not good, the ones for chicken seemed reheated somehow and the house ones had a ton of paprika and did not go well with fat plescavita. The beers were not in the menu and a draft beer was 12 ron. A door had a missing knob, light was not working in one of the bathroom cabins, so overall way below experience for what we paid. Longest time we have ever waited for our food! Why we have waited for so long? Because we had good company and it was too late to go somewhere else. Everything was messed up. We have ordered appetizers that came at the same time with the rest of the food. We have listened for half of the time we have spent there how the owner was shouting at the personnel. The most memorable restaurant experience that I have ever had! The chef prepared a plate of various appetizers for us and came to tell us about the ingredients that he had used! The main course had simple flavours (just how it should be) and the fres ingredients were the main point there! The best lamb I have ever eaten! For two persons the three course meal (+ one bottle of really tasty red wine and one bottle of water) we paid 320 lei (around 60e) in total! Just amazing experience (thanks for that)!
