Wonder Bistro & Bar — Restaurant in Cluj Metropolitan Area

We had lunch here because it was literally impossible to find any laid-back rustic wooden hut or similar from where to simply enjoy the beauty of the hills surrounding the city. This complex has clearly had many millions of euros invested in it, however it still very much feels developed in a rush, and trying its very very best to somehow be larger than life, in a way that makes it difficult to be endearing. By comparison, we went next day to the Conacul Secuiesc, well presumably an investment of a similar order of magnitude took place, But with a completely different outcome: instead of feeling try-hard and of questionable taste as in the Wonderland complex, it felt authentic, rustic, welcoming, and truly heartwarming. Sadly that difference speaks precisely to the current mentality in Romania where in- your- face luxury developments take precedence over discreet hospitality developments that just encourage a simple and thoughtful appreciation of nature.

I should add that the food was not at all bad and the service kind as is most often the case in this part of Romania. This however did not mitigate the fact that I would not gladly come to this...

Congrats for the design of the restaurant. I think it is the most original designed I've seen, it's like the seeling comes to life. Good job.

The food it's great, not a big variety of menu items but it is ok. It would be great if they have more crispy stuff in the menu.

Beside the restaurant you have great in sorundings where you can just chill. You can learn to ride horses as they have an horse encloser and many st-ups for different ways to have fun..

We visited Wonder Bistro Bar yesterday after attending a wedding event at Wonderland Resort, and it was an incredible experience! The location offers breathtaking views over Cluj, made even more magical by the new lights on the Wonder Adventure Tower, visible from the bistro.
