Smena — Restaurant in Литейный округ

I'm not a coffee expert, but I didn't like the breakfast that I had here. This place tries to be extraordinary, and immediately speaks about the specific of serving breakfast. Well, I gave it a try. I took breakfast set and a sandwitch. And I had no good emotions about it. But I had questions.

May be the coffee here is really nice, but I was here not for coffee, unfortunately. For sure, meal is not the strongest part of this place, don't make my mistake. I don't insult this place, I believe some people can like it. But be realistic and don't expect too much. I expected and that's why I'll never come here again. Such things can happen.

Smena is nicely appointed, cozy, and comfy. They have excellent coffee & super friendly baristas!! These guys know their coffee and are supplied by specialty roasters in Moscow. They know how to make a damn good cuppa joe! In fact, while visiting, I met a number of baristas from specialty shops throughout the city. They’re also very welcoming. Smena was the best coffee-shop in St. Petersburg three years ago and still is. They really know their coffee, great choice of espresso made on different beans, they are always keen to help you to choose the best coffee drink possible. Also I've noticed that other coffee-shops started copying their approach to prepare beans for espresso not to spend time weighing beans. So Smena is all about precision and variety. The food is good too, but definitely worth a visit for the coffee...
