This was by far the most amazing food we’ve experienced on the island. Not your typical local food obviously but it’s French inspired and I can tell there’s a Caribbean influence as well. We started with the fried oysters, conch ceviche, and seared tuna. Let me say that the tuna was the best I’ve ever had in my life. I live on Long Island and frequent the hamptons/ montauk which is known for their seafood and this blew it away. The fried oysters were the perfect size. Not too much oyster while also not being overwhelmed with breading. Next we had filet mignon with oxtail sauce and seafood risotto. The steak was cooked to perfection and my partner was blown away with the risotto. Last we had their passion fruit soufflé (soufflé is very hard to make so I HAD to order it because most restaurants don’t offer it) and the chocolate foundant dessert as well. Both absolutely amazing. The presentation was just gorgeous. Not a detail was missed. From marking our table to clearing to refilling water and drinks. The drinks were the best we’ve had on the island as well. They have a great wine list too. With properly stored bottles & temperature controlled. Our server was on us from the very beginning and perfect even though she was so busy. The location of this restaurant is on a cliff overlooking the water. Stunning. We loved this restaurant so much and also loved the naked fisherman at this location too. My partner said when we come back we’re staying at this hotel:) can’t recommend anything more! Great fine...

We have been coming to The Cliff for the past ten years, always having a memorable experience as a result of impeccable service, great food and a breathtaking setting. Unfortunately, it all came to an end today when we went there for lunch and were very disappointed. Service was substandard, with a waiter that was not properly trained and was not interested in giving us a great experience. Food did not correspond to the prices charged or to what we had come to expect. Our first dish (Fish Ceviche) was unnecessarily spicy, masking the lack of freshness in the ingredients. My Dorado with Tomato Confit was a major disappointment, as the fish was not fresh and the confit was slightly fermented, suggesting frozen and reused ingredients, something that should never be the case with a restaurant of this standing and the easy access to fish on the island. At one point the waitress asked us how our meal was, to which I replied "mine is not good". Her reaction? Nothing, just served more wine and walked away. Overall, an unremarkable experience. We are planning to go back only one more time to The Cliff, but we will take charge of our dish by ordering fish of the day and composing a sauce that will force the kitchen to use only fresh ingredients. As to the service, we will be watching.

UPDATE (05/08/2025): We have been contacted recently by their Food & Beverage Manager with an apology and an invitation to discuss our experience, in person, during our next visit to The Cliff. We look...

Was fortunate enough to go to The Cliff at Cap to celebrate Valentines Day for dinner. It was late so we were not able to see the water, as it was dark already, but you could hear it, and it was extremely soothing. The food was a prix fixe menu for Valentines Day at $185 USD. It was very tasty. The fresh bread and butter we were started with were delicious! Then, onto our appetizers, I got the caramelized scallop in a chorizo risotto, and my fiance got the seared yellow fin tuna with parsnip chips. Then, we were given a fruity frappe as a pallete cleanser. Onto our main entrees, which I had the duck confit as it was fantastic, and he got the BBQ short rib, which he said was very tasty as well. Last but not least was dessert, and I got the chocolate experience, which was a chocolate ice cream, rich chocolate truffle, chocolate mousse, on a sliver of chocolate cake. He got the red velvet cheesecake, and it looked pretty good, too! I wanted the creme brulee, but it was already sold out. All in all, it was a great experience. The service was the best I've experienced on the...
