Our visit to this beautiful island was made even more pleasurable by the truly wonderful dining experience we had at this marvelous and magnificent restaurant. When we arrived we were utterly astounded by the incredulous entrance to the restaurant and the exceedingly friendly welcome drink we received which was great and stupendous. The surroundings were inviting, warm and comfortable which was further enhanced by the brilliant welcome drink we received earlier as mentioned before. The staff were fairly friendly and chatty. The inside decorations of the restaurant were of an incredible quality. We went to the restaurant with 5 more couples and l must say l can wholeheartedly speak on behalf of all of them except for one, George Millington, we definitely had a decent crack and a laugh. We chose a mix platter of starters that included cheese fritters, ham pastes rolls, beetroot puré served on a bed of fresh cheese and chives, gherkin pies in a mango chutney sauce and mini hot pots of fishy cheese. We were celebrating George's promotion in the company he works in and he was so excited and frantic the whole night that he was clapping and dancing away like a wild hyena. His wife to be ,Gemmima Jenkins felt genuinely happy for him because he was really enjoying himself. One of our friends who is a chef in the UK felt the main dishes were prominent, outstanding, delectable and out of this world. Try the hot Coffee,it's of the finest quality you could ever imagine tasting in the whole of your lifetime. The wines were also fairly decent as were the coconut cocktails and hot breads. One of our friends opted for the brilliant baked barbecue beef on a bone which he loved so much he ordered the same. His wife, who works in a Michelin star restaurant loved the cheese board and baked avocado in a hollandaise sauce. All in all we...
Read moreAtmosphere was phenomenal as we sat down for our meal in this almost apparently closed bar/restaurant, but nothing prepared us for what was to come. Our waitress T, was a shining star. She humoured our tourist jargon (which even made us cringe), but was more than happy to answer all our questions. She was amazing to say the least. Then there was the food. We (three of us) ordered the crepe, the chowder and Accra as starters … we were blown away. They left full, but eager to taste more of their menu. When the main courses came out, we barley had time to sort who was going to try which part of each dish before they were gone, as we were all trying to get a taste of the many options the menu had. It’s hard to find anything wrong with this experience, and I could go on about how fantastic it was… but I’ll spare you the details so you can make your own judgement when you come. Which you will, because it is a must. A hidden Jem in the forest. We’ve been here for almost a week and would return every night if given the chance....
Read moreThis place was recommended by a local and we LOVED the whole experience! We were going to walk from across the road but the owner offered to pick us up. The food was amazingly delicious and authentic, truly a must go spot if you want high quality and good value. Ask for the hideaway drink, made totally local by the owner with rum they make in-house. We can’t say enough good things. We had tried some of the resort restaurants online before this recommendation and we were SO disappointed as the food was sub par and not good. The home style cooked meal by the owners was delicious and locally sourced. We had the Conch Cevice, Goat Curry, Local caught fish with the “Broh” and both desserts (chocolate mousse and fruit cake)… if you are thinking this is your Grandmas rubbish fruit cake, you are sorely mistaken… this was local St Lucia fruit soaked for over a year and the cake had a depth of flavor that we will be dreaming about when we are back in New York. Looking forward to going back… made our trip to St Lucia...
