I feel compelled to write a review because of my utter shock and disappointment by this establishment. This restaurant has one of the best locations in Marigot Bay BUT the service and the food quality is NON existent. It took them 45 minutes to serve us one drink. During happy hour (which is non existant really) they try even harder to slow the service down to a dead stop. My advice is if you want a drink, don't wait for table service, go to the bar a wait for your drinks. As far as food is concerned, just don't bother. The food is underwhelming and WAY over priced for what you get. I'm sure you have heard about Pirates of the Caribbean. Well they exist in St Lucia. Everybody is out to fleece you. A bit of advice, keep a tally of what you order a check ALL your bills. On a few occasions, we had reason to query our bill. On one occasion one establishment add on an extra bottle of wine at 115 East Caribbean dollars, that equates to about 46 US Dollars. (For a really basic bottle of wine.) The fact that all your bills come already with a 12% service charge attached does not give you any option to reward good service and penalise poor service, this probably accounts for the piss poor service because the servers have absolutely no incentive to provide any service at all. I will never go back to this restaurant EVER again. If I could have selected an option of ZERO STARS, that would have been my star rating for...

Sadly, this place didn't live up to the hype.

You take a free ferry from the south side of the bay to get to the restaurant/hotel. The ride is awesome, though, with the scenery and clear waters it's stunning.

We only ordered one cocktail. It was reasonably priced ($8-$10 USD) and pretty typical in strength.

The food, however, was probably some of the worst we have had on the island so far. :( Major bummer, in all honesty. I ordered the coconut shrimp salad, but really, it's just 3 pieces of bland, severely overcooked shrimp on a bed of garnish fruits and old cabbage. It was almost inedible and definitely not filling. ~$22USD/$60ECD.

My husband ordered the chicken wings, which came in 6 pieces and was $ 20 USD /$55 ECD. They were the smallest wings I've ever seen, maybe a tad bigger than my thumb. :/ The flavors were great, though, but way overpriced.

Our server was friendly but relatively slow for the non existant lunch crowd on a Thursday afternoon. And they sat us in one of the first tables from the dock really close to the kitchen where it was emitting a substantial amount of heat. The tables with better views were all empty but were further from the bar, so I imagine the server/bartender was trying to lessen her step count in the 90°F heat. (I definitely don't blame her there!)

If you do decide to dine here, you can use the pool and beach area, though, so that's a...

We went to Doolittle's restaurant on our last night in Margot Bay. We were a party of 17 and had made reservations. We were greeted within a reasonable amount of time and showed to our seats. We were given the BBQ menu as it was BBQ night and was not given the option of the original menu until we asked for it. We waited about 20mins before we received our drinks. The restaurant was not busy so not sure why they took so long to bring the drinks ordered. Our soda was flat and we were given fountain soda which was watered down. When we asked for bottles of soda, the waitress delivered BUT the bottled soda was flat and nearing expiry date. One we had ordered the food came within a reasonable amount of time but one person did not get their order and most of us had already eaten. I ordered the Jamaican Jerk chicken menu which was ok. My niece's pizza crust was undercooked so we had to return it. What was disturbing to me is that their washrooms had no water. There was no hand sanitizer to clean your hands and the toilets were used and unflushed. There were stray cats pouncing around while we were eating. To top it off when we received the bill the waitress (assistant manager) tried to pull a fast one by telling us she gave us a 15% discount on our bill when it was only 10%. To our surprise she did made sure she corrected it. I would not return to this restaurant a...

Gorgeous location. But after we sat down it took 15 minutes for a drinks menu to be brought over, then another 15 minutes for our drinks order to be taken. We got the lunch menu at 12, our order wasn't taken until half 12 and our food arrived at quarter to two. Took a little longer as they had to remake two of the mains as they took them too the wrong table. The foccacia wasn't at all foccacia. It was slice white bread cheese on toast with some veg under the cheese. If we weren't so starving by the time we got our food we would have sent a couple of them back. Just don't bother, the table next to us left after 20 minutes, when their drink order still hadn't been taken. And a family in the corner was missing a main meal. One of the waitresses said they had a very busy breakfast and were short staffed. It might be a good idea to do a reduced menu on these days maybe? And keep an eye on tables. Really expensive for the food you're served. And the resort itself looks like its falling apart a little. I'd be devastated if I'd paid a lot of money too stay there!

This is the only restaurant on that side of Marigot Bay. You can get there on their free restaurant ferry. It is overpriced a bit. In our 5 visits, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, we overall found the food to be good, the staff and service was friendly, and the music was good. I can't recommend the Vegetable Eggplant Parmesan simply because it was not to my taste and not the same as the dish you would expect in the USA (it wasn't breaded and there was no spaghetti sauce). The only downside would be the extreme slowness during breakfast when there were very few customers. The kitchen had to be reminded by other staff 3 times on each visit that I had an pending order. Although all staff were friendly and helpful, a special shout out to Mel and to Chef Andy for an outstanding job. Chef Andy, good luck on your new year's pledge to go vegetarian.
