An important issue is the price on the menu differs from price we were charged. Understandable from sign at cashier of price increases but really must mention it either as we enter or make a note on the menu so we can ask the current prices. We didn't realise until we were at cashier and finished eating. The owner I assume took our payment which we expressed seemed more than we calculated however she didn't seem to notice we weren't aware of differing prices. We noticed after payment once we got receipt and compared it to the menu. We brought this up with the waitress who apologised but cost too much to print new menus. Owner really should be bothered to edit the menu just write on paper and stick it on we have seen other restaurants do that which we would much rather prefer to know before we order not after or make obvious for first time guests. We needed to pay around 20tala more than expected overall, not ideal. Otherwise food was great, had good size serves of chicken curry and pumpkin curry with rice with some beers. Aroma in restaurant was nice with the spices. Waitress was lovely and electric fan was directed to our table. Only disappointment is as above, poor disclosure of menu price prior...
Read moreWhat a delightful restaurant! It’s a bit out of town but worth the trip.
The Fijian Indian lady who runs the restaurant is so welcoming.
And her food is divine. As others have noted the pumpkin curry is mouth watering and the eggplant curry is good too. The homemade popadoms that accompany meals are some of the freshest I’ve ever had. I had the vegetarian thali which was delicious.
Plus, she has a great selection of bubble teas or other fresh teas. The pot of fresh lemongrass tea was excellent.
And the price is very reasonable: 45 tala for the aforementioned items.
I wish I had discovered this place earlier rather than at the back end of my stay in Samoa. It’s a place to keep coming back to...
Read moreAs an Indian visiting Samoa I can say that this place serves truly exquisite and authentic Indian food! The pumpkin dish was sweet and flavourfully spiced, the saag & channa (spinach and chickpea) dish was sensational and savoury, and the daal was a beautiful and neutral accompanyment. The roti and puris (breads) were yummy and freshly made. My masala chai was also delicious. Plenty of vegetarian options as well as meat dishes. You can tell the food is made with love and by a very talented cook! The service was stellar and we did not wait long at all for a fairly large order. Highly, highly recommend this place, and I will certainly...
