La Vecchia Fonte — Restaurant in Borgo Maggiore

I see that the other reviews are fairly old, so maybe something has changed in this restaurant. In summary, I would not recommend this restaurant. The food simply does not taste good. Plates ordered: Truffle Pasta - the truffle had no flavor, and the pasta was overcooked. In addition, it was a very thick pasta which made it worse. Capresses salad - The mozarella was alright, clearly store bought, and the tomatoes had nothing special to them.

Such a great restaurant! The menu is gigantic, there truly is something for everyone! The passatelli in brodo is delicious, would definitely recommend as it is a local dish. The pizza was phenomenal, one of the best I've ever eaten! Their spicy oil is superb too. Finally, their desserts don't lack either! The chocolate cake and mascarpone are both incredible and definitely worth trying. And when you think it's all over, you still get Limoncello and Liquirizia...

Wir waren dort essen es gab eine Empfehlung und meine Frau wollte das Essen ich suchte mir in der Speisekarte eine Vorspeise und eine Pizza aus. Dann kam diese unfreundliche desinteressierte Kellnerin meine Frau sagte ihren Wunsch und ich bestellte was ich ausgesucht hatte da meinte die Kellnerin die Tagesempfelung gibt es erst am nächsten Tag. Sie blieb dann mürrisch stehen und drängte meine Frau das sie etwas bestellen soll. Dann ging es los meine Frau bekam ihr Essen 10 min später kam meine Vorspeise und nach weiteren 10 min kam meine Pizza. Das darf in keinem Restaurant passieren wie ich zu der Kellnerin sagte ich hab gerade erst mit derVorspeise zu essen begonnen und sie soll bitte die Pizza warmstellen grinste sie nur und stellte sie am Nebentisch ab wo niemand saß und ging weg. Dieses Lokal kann man nich empfehlen man hat das Gefühl am besten wäre es das man dort 50€ auf den Tresen legt und wieder geht denn als Gast wird man dort nicht behandelt. Auch auf meine Reklamation beim Chef der zuckte nur mit den Achseln...
