Indian Island — Restaurant in Al Naseem Municipality

The food is good and service is great. The taste is not what I am used too and it was not spicy at all. Overall it is a really good value for money and worth trying if you are on budget.

We ordered:

1- Chicken cream soup, it was delicious.

2- Mixed hot appetizers, the collection was great and it will really give you a sample of all their appetizer. The lollipop chicken was dry but tasted good. The Sammossa was not greag and was not bad it was edible. The shrimp was edible as well.

3- Butter chicken masala, I couldn't not taste the butter and was basically just chicken masala.

4- Chicken masala, it tasted good but the chicken quantity was a bit too low in ratio to the amount of masala.

5- Plain Beryani, not bad at all.

Friendly and quick service, took the order and delivered food without delay even though we had arrived just before the prayer closure. Food was OK'ish but nothing to write home about. Papadams were served with ketchup (yuk!) and a bland mint sauce. I've observed this 'trend' in other Indian restaurants, what happened to the Mango chutney?! Our chicken curries were brightly coloured but taste was bland and predominantly creamy while chicken was very dry indeed. أطيب أكل هندي في الرياض حتى الآن، جربنا عدة أصناف، الخبز النان من أروع ما يمكن، نان سادة، نان بالجبنة، و نان بالزبدة. دجاج بالزبدة كان لذيذ جداً، و دجاج مدراس بالزنجبيل لأول مرة أجربه وكان رائع، جميع أنواع الرز ذات نكهة مميزة سواء البرياني مسالا والبرياني السادة. دجاج لولي پوب مقرمش ولذيذ. طبق مشاوي مشكل " لحم و دجاج" بجودة عالية وطعم ممتاز. يتوفر لديهم أطباق في المنيو الصيني، الأرز الصيني المقلي و النودلز كانت جيدة ولكن هناك أفضل. الأسعار مناسبة جداً، مثلا طبق المشاوي يكفي شخصين الى ٣ أشخاص بسعر ١٢٠ ريال. يوجد ڤاليه، الديكور متوسط والخدمة جيدة لكن تكون بطيئة أحياناً. اذا كنت بحث عن الأكل الهندي اللذيذ و المميز بدون النظر الى الديكور والخدمة العالية ، فهذا المكان مناسب جداً. يوجد قسم عوائل خاص وفيه غرف مغلقة. The best Indian food in Riyadh till this moment, the Naan bread was great, cheese, butter and plain. Butter Chicken was fabulous, they also have Chicken Madaras which is similar to Butter Chicken but with ginger and it was delicious, didn’t find it in other Indian restaurants. All kinds of Rice is perfect,like Plain Rice and Masala Rice. The Chicken lollipop is fantastic. The Mixed Grill “ chicken and meat “ was amazing. They also have some Chinese dishes like Noodles and Fried Rice which was Okay but not the best. Prices are very fair, the Mixed Grill is enough for 2-3 persons and costs 120 Riyals only.
