Maqloba | مقلوبة — Restaurant in Al Naseem Municipality

We visited Maqloba, Al Rayyan branch. Tried their signature dish, Maqloba which is a Jordanian origin one pot rice dish cooked with meat and various vegetables and served with a tomato garlic chutney and Tahina sauce.

It was delicious, fragrant and well cooked. Chicken was super tender and had absorbed all the juices and flavours.

Also tried their Biryani which was nice but would recommend to go for their signature dishes. They also offer Machboos, Mrabian, Bukhari, Butter chicken rice and many appetizers. Will try some of them during my next visit.

Ambiance was nice. Place was clean and hygienic. Staff was courteous. Over the weekend, you may experience a little longer wait time but the food is worth the wait.

The menu had a great variety of biryani options as well, from chicken to lamb to vegetable, all cooked to perfection with the perfect blend of spices.

I ordered the lamb biryani and was blown away by the flavours and textures. The meat was tender and juicy, and the rice was fluffy and fragrant. The spices used in the dish were well-balanced, and the heat level was just right for my taste buds.

The only reason I am not giving a 5-star rating is that the prices were slightly on the higher side. However, the quality of the food and the overall experience made it worth it.

Loved the place. The food is so delicious and that explains the rush in front of the store.

It is quite a struggle getting inside the restaurant, but once inside there was enough place for us to sit.

The lamb Maqlouba, and biriyani were the dishes I tried, and it was a delight.

The meal seemed incomplete.. and I realised after sometime that I was infact craving for a dessert.

I am not sure if I forgot to order any dessert, but that is extremely unlikely. Probably their menu didn't have desserts. Anyways I will confirm that later as I will be...
