It was a dark and stormy supper… the kind of night where normal people curl up with soup, but we — a horde of unhinged, sauce-hungry monsters — chose chaos. We thundered into Shrimp Shack like seafood-seeking kaijus, stomachs rumbling like distant drums of doom.
No menus were needed. We didn’t order food — we summoned it.
First came the bags. Glorious, swollen, glistening sacks of crustacean sorcery. Shrimp? Check. Crab legs? Check. Corn that tasted like it had been baptized in garlic butter and raised by Zeus himself? Oh absolutely. The sauce? A bubbling potion of spice and sin — more powerful than any elixir brewed in a swamp.
There were no forks. No knives. Only claws, paws, and an occasional plastic spoon used more as a wand than a utensil.
The carnage began.
One monster grabbed a shrimp and devoured it whole, eyes glowing with sauce-fueled euphoria. Another tried to crack a crab leg with his forehead. A third… was last seen attempting to marry a mussel.
There was corn in hair. Butter on foreheads. One of us slipped in something mysterious and didn’t even care — because the flavor gods had taken over and decency was now outlawed.
🧻 Napkins? Useless. 🧤 Gloves? Shredded. 🪑 Table? Looked like a war zone in a seafood dimension.
By the end, the table looked like it had hosted a family reunion for sea creatures, followed by a street brawl. You’d think we were done?
Wrong.
One of us leaned back, sauce dripping from their chin like monster drool, and growled:
“Another round… but EXTRA SPICY.”
We didn’t leave Shrimp Shack that night. We escaped, full, filthy, and forever changed.
If you’re a polite, napkin-folding, fork-using civilian, this place might be too real for you.
But if you’re a monster who dreams of shrimp storms and crab...
Read moreThere are some places that are custom restaurants from America and Europe that don't deserve to be established here in the Kingdom. This place is one of them. Shame on this owner and their lack of training to respect the recipe.
They severely overcook the crab. You can literally cream it out of the shell. It's supposed to be flakey, there's is mushy. The lobster is the same. Very overcooked. They over butter the food as well. Many times you'll find these companies that over season and over oil/butter their foods as if that's how our foods are prepared and cooked.
As for the shrimp, is you ask the cashier of the shrimp is butterflied and cleaned, they say yes, they're peeled. 🤦🏾♂️ This is a clear reflection of ownership and management not understanding how to prepare seafood and clean shrimp... There's no option to devein the shrimp, or they don't offer that option. And the employees don't understand what deveining (butterflying) means. This was my second time visiting. The first time I took home my food, yesterday we ate in. I showed the cashier what I meant. And he said yes. Got home and they were peeled and uncleaned. If I was to ask if they offer wild caught instead of Farm raised, I wonder if they would know...
Read moreIf you're a seafood lover looking for fresh, flavorful dishes served in a casual, friendly setting, Shrimp Shack is the place to go. I visited recently and was impressed not only by the food but also by the laid-back beachy atmosphere and welcoming staff.
I ordered the classic shrimp basket with fries and hush puppies, and every bite was delicious. The shrimp were perfectly fried—crispy on the outside, juicy and tender inside. The house-made cocktail sauce had just the right kick, and the portion size was generous.
What really stood out was the service. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, and the food came out quickly even though the place was busy.
Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size, and the menu offers a nice variety—from fried seafood favorites to grilled options and even a few vegetarian sides.
Overall, Shrimp Shack is a hidden gem that combines great food, a casual vibe, and warm service. Whether you're stopping by after the beach or looking for a quick seafood fix, this place won’t disappoint.
