New review: This used to be my fav restaurant in Jeddah but my last visit left me quite disappointed to be honest. They changed the menu and removed one of my favorite dishes the fried jumbo shrimp! They also downsized all the dishes that we used to order so now we’re paying same price but less food! The quality of food in general went from 5 stars to 2 stars. I wish they would bring back the old menu 😩!! I can’t go again since I really was disappointed although this is my favorite restaurant in Jeddah 🥲. Also, I went for lunch and the restaurant wasn’t cool enough it was hot basically so we changed the table but it’s still hot inside 😩. Please bring the old menu with the old pricing I would love to come back again 😩. The servers are (as usual) very nice and helpful. (The nachos used to be in a big dish we used to eat non stop and it wouldn’t finish but now we are paying same price but literally every one ate like 2 bites and it’s finished😭) (The ranch salad used to be also huge and it used to come with chicken, now they charge you extra for chicken!) I hope the management takes this review as a feedback for improvement in the future since I am a regular customer who has always enjoyed Blue Ocean except for this visit.

I recently visited on New Year’s Eve 2025, expecting a memorable dining experience, but unfortunately, it turned out to be an evening filled with frustration and disappointment. To start, the food was far from acceptable. The teriyaki chicken, a dish I was genuinely looking forward to, tasted undercooked and unappetizing. This is not just a matter of taste but a significant health concern. On top of that, the dessert was inexplicably served before the rest of the menu, despite our clear request to have it at the end of the meal. Such carelessness is simply unacceptable. Service was another major letdown. The restaurant appeared severely understaffed, with hardly any waiters available to attend to the customers. When we requested a baby chair for our little one, the waiter not only failed to bring one but outright lied, claiming they didn’t have any, which was infuriating. It was clear he was simply too lazy to assist.

Overall, the poor quality of food and appalling service made this New Year’s Eve dinner a regrettable experience. It’s disappointing that what should have been a festive and enjoyable evening turned into such a fiasco.
